Super+comma and Super+period were mapped as emoji annotations. Run ibus-setup, go to the emoji tab, delete the bindings. Thanks to this SO post.

I removed the comment, the answer is complete without it.
- `Super+comma` and `Super+period` were mapped as emoji annotations.
- Run `ibus-setup`, go to the emoji tab, delete the bindings.
