  • How do I control my computer's fan speeds, including the case fans, and the CPU pump and fan speed?
  • Moving from Windows on an Acer laptop, I am used to Acer's PredatorSense application which lets me set a standard, full or custom speed for the fans, as well as enabling a mode that that boosts the fans at lower temperatures.
  • In my current build, I can enter the UEFI and set even more options. I can set the individual speed for each fan header on the motherboard, as well as the pump speed. I can also set them to auto (default), and specify a temperature-to-speed graph, such that when the temperature hits a specific number, the fan speed is adjusted automatically.
  • How do I control these things from the desktop, such that I don't have to enter the UEFI for them?

Unsure which applies. Later editors should remove either the GUI toolkit or Linux distribution tags, if keeping both is unnecessary

Control desktop fan speeds
How do I control my computer's fan speeds, including the case fans, and the CPU pump and fan speed?

Moving from Windows on an Acer laptop, I am used to Acer's PredatorSense application which lets me set a standard, full or custom speed for the fans, as well as enabling a mode that that boosts the fans at lower temperatures.

In my current build, I can enter the UEFI and set even more options. I can set the individual speed for each fan header on the motherboard, as well as the pump speed. I can also set them to auto (default), and specify a temperature-to-speed graph, such that when the temperature hits a specific number, the fan speed is adjusted automatically.

How do I control these things from the desktop, such that I don't have to enter the UEFI for them?
