Why are most distros so laggy on my Intel+NVIDIA laptop? [closed]

I've been distro hopping for years now. I love Fedora and Tumbleweed, but everything I've tried beyond Ubuntu is slow and jumpy, and even Ubuntu lags behind Windows 7, 10, and 11. Are the NVIDIA drivers really this big of a problem?
