Cisco's [OpenDNS](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenDNS) (nothing to do with open source) has this magic domain `myip.opendns.com` which resolves to your own public IP address when looked up with standard DNS tools.

For example with [dog](https://dns.lookup.dog/) (or dig):
```bash
$ dog +short myip.opendns.com @resolver1.opendns.com
```
